Birth / Death?

[edit]

Cause of the redirect Juliette Récamier and some datas it seems to be the same person as fr:Juliette Récamier, but here see i (1770-1837), not (1777-1849). What is the truth? AN(Ger) 13:49, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Year of exile

Which year was she exiled by Napoleon?--85.226.47.128 (talk) 19:23, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Any children?

[edit]

The article does not say whether or not she had children.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 18:11, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can't find trace of any. The closest relative left after she died was probably Mme Lenormant, her niece, who published part of her correspondence in 1859.

Marriage proposal by Prince Augustus of Prussia

[edit]

This page says that she

"spurned an offer of marriage from Prince Augustus of Prussia"

Further down, it says

"There was a project for her divorce, in order that she might marry Prince Augustus of Prussia, but, though her husband was willing, it was not arranged."

Then it mentions "Prince Augustus of Prussia (whose proposal was accepted but the marriage never occurred)" This last parenthesis is misleading, since apparently it was Jacques Récamier who accepted that she marry the Prince, but Juliette Récamier refused this. I am therefore changing the parenthesis to:

  "(whose marriage proposal she rejected)"

The source article says:

[she] "rejected an offer of marriage from the prince of Prussia."
   ...
"Prince Augustus of Prussia fell in love with her and sought marriage, but she refused to divorce her husband and father." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Afarr (talkcontribs) 12:23, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
