Born and raised in Frankfort, Kentucky, I moved to the Boston area to attend school in 2002. Currently I am a resident of Davis Square, Somerville. I live in the Mirthaterra(/Adjacetarium), an apartment on the same floor as the world-famous Acetarium.
I have been a Wikipedian since before it had 100k articles. Watching it grow and prosper has been one of the most inspiring experiences of my life.
I am continually amazed by the amount of fun I have riding a bicycle.
I enjoy cooking. I also enjoy coffee, chocolate, and beer.
I am a research scientist in computational genomics. I spend my time working in the Marth Lab at Boston College.
I am a programmer by experience and necessity. I think that code (and research data) should be free, and have published a few snippets on my home page: hypervolu.me.
