[edit]Category:Bosnian people is better than Category:People from Bosnia and Herzegovina as it is in line with the "Fooian people" rather than "People from Foo" convention; see Category:People by nationality. "Bosnian" seems to be the preferred "neutral" adjective for Bosnia and Herzegovina, as opposed to "Bosniak" which refers to a particular Bosnian ethnic group. ("Bosnian" is neutral even though it does not specifically reference the distinct geographic region of Herzegovina, possibly because that region does not have a distinct political, legal or cultural identity) --VivaEmilyDavies 21:19, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit]- Your argument is correct, except that it unfairly discriminates against the people from Herzegovina. Go ask any Hercegovac if they feel like a Bosanac and they'll probably tell you to go to hell, if not something worse. :) --Joy [shallot] 22:25, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- A good point, thankyou! :) Please see my response on the cfd page, probably not a great idea to keep this conversation going in duplicate!
- Dear friends. There is only "Bosnia and Herzegovina"...there is NO Bosnia on its own. If you do not say Bosnia and Herzegovina you for sure play the game of the nationalists there. Keep it in mind. Down there everything is still fragile and hyper-sensitive.
