I am not necessarily saying that wangus is a legitimate encyclopedia topic but maybe one should look at the Wangus Yahoo Group to help in making a determination. --Daniel C. Boyer

Why does this stub even exist
[edit]It seems to me this article shouldn't even exist. No reliable citations are offered to show why this article is notable. Indeed, there are no citations even showing that Wangus is a generally recognized name. The lead statement is self-contradictory (Angus is not a Japanese breed, so the cross is not true Japanese). The only external link offered doesn't even mention Wangus (at least not on the page specified), and appears to be commercial spam; I'm about to delete it. Before I nominate it for deletion, can anyone show why it should remain?--Larry (talk) 16:50, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
- An update. While searching for reliable sources, I found this: http://aurorafarmtx.blogspot.com/2011/03/wangus.html . It's not a reliable source, but it includes a comment that "I have attached photos of the first Wagyu and Angus calf from #49. Stacy had named it Wangus! So I think that will work. He is all of 50 lbs or so, but cute as he can be." Obviously NOT a reference to a new breed!--Larry (talk) 22:33, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
