Obsolete text
[edit]This Encyclopedia Britannica article is obsolete and written in a subjective manner. I suggest it should be erased if no new information is added.--JFK 13:44, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
- I agree, let's go over it carefully one last time to see if there is anything salvageable for other articles, then make it into a redirect. ፈቃደ (ውይይት) 14:11, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Article Cleanup Co-Ordination Point
[edit]I agree it needs cleaning up. Especially the "we miss it" at the beginning. Who's we? Well, who wants to get the soap out?Tourskin 23:39, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
This reference is cited in several wiki page, but it doesn't seem to exist ― it's suspect: Harmansah, Ömür (2007-12-03). "The Archaeology of Mesopotamia: Ceremonial centers, urbanization and state formation in Southern Mesopotamia". Nestashi (talk) 05:19, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
- ?I found it very easily at [1], archived from Brown University, but it is class notes. The author is a very respectable expert though - see here. I've updated the link. Are you guys sure you know what you are doing? Johnbod (talk) 14:17, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
If anyone is ever feeling particularly bold:
[edit]There is the possibility of expanding this article or making multiple articles about the individual civilizations: [2]. At the moment, the 3 civilizations redirect to Mesopotamia and the two styles (art and architecture) all redirect here. Cheers!Calaka (talk) 04:57, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
Design of Assyrian buildings, fortifications and temples - Citations
[edit]I notice that the section "Design of Assyrian buildings, fortifications and temples" doesn't have any citations, and the style doesn't quite match the usual of Wikipedia. (I've been going through a lot of ancient history/prehistory articles lately, and there are quite a few guilty of this.) I've seen other people delete whole sections, but I'm loath to do this. I simply don't know where someone got the information from to add the citations for it. Talvieno (talk) 07:23, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
Pls create redirect for "Mesopotamian architecture"

Merge Houses in ancient Sumer here
[edit]Note: Nominator should have started this discussion, but hasn't.
- Support seems sensible. Who will do the merge? Johnbod (talk) 16:20, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
- I can do the merge and turn it into a redirect. But I'll wait a bit more; maybe someone else wants to comment as well. Zoeperkoe (talk) 05:34, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
- Great - I'd give it 10 days or more. Johnbod (talk) 15:56, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
- Fixed Did a crude merge into the houses section. Will do for now. Zoeperkoe (talk) 14:26, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
