The wording
[edit]Certain statements scare me, e.g. "A second program can also swap the Explorer shell with the Windows 95 Explorer, which is less bug-filled, less resource consuming (thereby faster), and completely usable by anyone for any purpose." —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.217.24.235 (talk • contribs) 20:35, 21 January 2005 (UTC)
- Is it the wording or the idea of it all? I'm going to change the words to make it sound more NPOV-ish, If I can. --24.17.43.226 01:13, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC)
98lite
[edit]98lite originally was lightning fast but had a couple of bugs- however these were bareable as the computer was so fast, now it doesn't produce such a fast computer, although it does do what it says on the packet. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.218.210.2 (talk • contribs) 8 July 2006 (UTC)
98EOS
[edit]Shane Brooks released too 98EOS, that removes too Printer Subsystem, Audio Subsystem, Network Subsystem, USB Subsystem and GUI, in extremal case leaving command line with large FAT32 and LFN support only.
98lite site was down and is now up
[edit]Now 98lite site is up, thus I give you direct link showing that newest version is still 4.7: [1] Wikinger 15:18, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Nano98 Link Broken?
[edit]I tried it and I got an 404 error. :/ Gamelover101 (talk) 01:19, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
Win Toolkit, etc.
[edit]If anybody wants to add it in a way that fits without sounding like advertising, there are programs currently used for remastering on Windows 7 and later. I'm specifically thinking of Win Toolkit, but I know there are others (some are linked on the "list of remastering software" page near the bottom of this article).173.13.21.65 (talk) 16:00, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Video game remasters?
[edit]Does this apply for video game remasters? RocketMaster (talk) 17:48, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Common name
[edit]I think Custom image creation/Custom image building is a more widely accepted term for the concept.
