Double links
[edit]But are double-links annoying ? Links are for the user's ease of use, and searching for Leuven in the list (which entails to chose the right list first ;-) is a bit annoying. Plus, it is a general convention to have the first reference to something be a link. In this case, on the reference you're fighting on. --FvdP
Precisely: that is why I added the link.

Title of article
[edit]The title of this article must be changed! There simply is no province in Belgium called "Flemish Brabant". It is called Vlaams-Brabant and that name would best be used in all other languages as well, to avoid confusion. It is one thing for English-speaking people to translate terms that are very difficult to write and/or pronounce, but it is quite another for Flemings to force-feed the British and Americans with names they will never find in official documents. The only native speakers of English who come into contact with this province (by relocating there, or visiting it for a conference) are likely to encounter, and use, the real name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.165.120.4 (talk • contribs)
- "Flemish Brabant" is a very commonly used name for the province in English. I think there's good reason for using a name which immediately identifies to the English speaker its location within the Flemish region, rather than "Vlaams Brabant" which is less helpful to those who have no knowledge of Dutch / Flemish.
- Note also that the English pages of the official website of the province refer to it as "Flemish Brabant". --David Edgar 12:11, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Inconsistency
[edit]In the list of political parties, sp.a (Socialistische Partij Anders) is translated as "Socialist Party – Different", while on the page wiki about this party it is translated as "Socialist Party Differently" (Socialistische Partij Anders). Sebasst.f (talk) 13:41, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
