How ls that possible?
[edit]Schnabel car#History and Schnabel car#Patent history If the germans had a schnabel car during WW II, how could an american get a patent in 1994? This needs clarification. Peter Horn User talk 14:26, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
- There is also a question about the file that I just added. Was it from WW II? Peter Horn User talk 22:39, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
- And another. Peter Horn User talk 22:54, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
- Regarding the patent stuff, I'd just delete it from the article, unless we can find more information on patents elsewhere. You're right that it makes little sense considering the car was invented in Germany. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 23:00, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Trainsandotherthings: Hello, It is not necessary to find out more about patents elsewhere except to find out if there ever was a German patent. That said, the Germans may never have patented it, thinking that it was unnecessary. Being what it may be this patent is a record of the US patent, so keep the section. It is highly probable that the americans did not know about the German vehicle and if they did know, they did not care. If there was no record of a Germann patent the americans were free to get a patent. Peter Horn User talk 02:07, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- Correction. The date is 1975. Peter Horn User talk 02:10, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
