I don't think the Scala scale application is what Susumu Hirasawa uses.

Here's some information on the AMIGA SCALA unit:

http://amiga.emugaming.com/bundles/scalawork500.html

Here's an interview with Susumu Hirasawa that mentions (what I think) is the aforementioned SCALA system. Here is the original Japanese interview, although it doesn't really say anything different from the English translation insofar as SCALA is concerned: http://forum.nifty.com/famiga/hirasawa/eng-3.html

I'm pretty sure it's the AMIGA system -- I'll dig up screenshots of the SCALA software sometime. Yipdw 18:20, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)

So SCALA is different than scala? Sorry about that... hrm... anyways, I need to figure out a way to include Hirasawa in the articles that this page links to I.E. Berserk or Millennium Actress or Paranoia Agent (ack, i think someone needs to put up that page too) ....or somone else could do it... that'd be nice ^_^;; ... anyways, you don't have to put Amiga in all caps... -Aknorals 05:28, 25 Jan 2005 (UTC)

er... um... wait did you see the second half of scala i think this may be what they were talking about in the article... --Aknorals 05:31, 25 Jan 2005 (UTC)

re: SCALA -- Yeah, I saw the last half of Scala, but I'm still not convinced that it's what Susumu Hirasawa uses. For one, it doesn't seem to have an Amiga version. Yipdw 08:01, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Literal translation

[edit]

I took the liberty of translating 旅行団 by breaking it into its components: 旅行 (ryokō; travel) and 団 (dan, group). Would this fall under the scope of "original research"? There's practically no interpretation involved. I did this because I could not find suitable English title to match it with. -Yipdw 02:27, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Why not "traveling band"? "dan" as in Band of the Hawk (鷹の団, Taka no Dan) of Berserk? Besides, "traveling band" sounds better than "traveling group"... unless of course someone confuses it with the other sense of the word "band" -Aknorals 09:32, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I took out the links for Hirasawa's individual releases. No one's ever going to write an article about them; there's just not enough information out there besides the track listing. flowersofnight (talk) 18:20, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

Some of the external links need to be changed into references using the <ref> command. (see [1] and WP:FN) Here's another interview that can be used as a reference. [2] --Aknorals 09:23, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, a japanese site with info on both P-model and Hirasawa himself: [3] -Aknorals 12:26, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Albums

[edit]

Some of his albums are missing from here, examples being Switched-on Lotus and Solar Ray. I also need the cover art for his albums, since I'm missing them. The good thing is that I have a majority of his albums and the exact track listing, though no kanji

Length

[edit]

This isn't meant to offend as I'm sure someone has worked hard on this article, but it's way too long. It could use a major trim, maybe split his discography into another article if more sources can be found, or something to increase readability. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of facts, articles only need to contain that which is important and notable. Sro23 (talk) 01:47, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is good point and that's why we need more editors to help cut down information to the essentials and make the writing less awkward. If you're reading this and see ways to improve any of the Hirasawa or P-MODEL pages (and they do need improvement), please don't sit on the sidelines. Remember to assume good faith and go forth.
