Maria Agnesi (May 16, 1718 - January 9, 1799) -Her father , Pietro was a wealthy mathematics professor. She could speak Italian and French at 5. At 13, Greek, Hebrew, French and Latin. She educated here younger brothers and the text she created became a standard text book. She left mathematics after her father died and devoted herself to the poor, homeless and sick. One of her famous works is an equation for a curve which became famous as the 'Witch of Agnesi'. Another is a philosophical work named 'Propositiones Philosophicae'.
