I saw a video about wild animals drunk from fermenting marula fruit. Can it be true? --Beatak 12:21, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I can confirm this. -- Julian
Is the breaking into American markets thing true? I had some in the UK which is how I was introduced to it, at an airport and I was dissapointed to learn it wasn't sold in America. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.132.128.143 (talk) 06:16, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
YOu may just have to look harder, I bought a bottle a few days ago in the US ;) First time I remember seeing it was only a few years ago though.167.7.17.3 (talk) 13:18, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Peeps, with reference to the above comments, and having poured myself a small measure, I've updated the article to specify (among opther things) the current license holder. To my mind, the product of a private company can be the topic of a neutral POV article; provided that the product be identified as such -- a commercial PRODUCT, not a traditional recipe (like haggis) or a semi-natural strain, like basmati rice. There's nothing wrong with being straightforward about the economic context to this item -- quite the contrary, it should be known to be sold for a profit (hence, that the producer has an interest in it). If anyone has further info on the blandly named Southern Liqueur Company of (presumably) South Africa, perhaps another company stub is in order.
