[edit]When Cheoljong died, he was 33, and I have resources, except it is a book. 161.130.178.159 (talk) 02:33, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
Accuracy and fairness
[edit]The article gives an overwhelmingly negative portrayal of the Andong Kim Clan, and is written as if they're like objectively evil villains like the ones you see in children's cartoons or Disney movies. This definitely needs to be revised. According to the history of the page, this comment was left 02:10, 9 April 2014 by User:Arumdaum

Date of death
[edit]I see that the source placing Cheoljong's death in January 1864 is a Korea Times article written by Robert Neff. Many references to an 1864 death come up on Google. However, the vast majority of them appear to be paraphrased or directly copied from this Wikipedia article.
I have found numerous references stating his death was in December 1863.

- Dake, Mark (2016). South Korea: The Enigmatic Peninsula. Dundurn. ISBN 9781459731479.
While the three I've cited may appear to be more scholarly, Robert Neff is also well-studied in Korean history and has written books specific to the Joseon era. I'm not sure the best way to proceed, so I'm hoping to get some input from others here. Thanks for reading! Skeletor3000 (talk) 21:25, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Gregorius was not a Bishop of Joseon. We have: Cheoljong'14, 12
- Translating Cheoljong'14 as 1863 is roughly correct, but translating 12월 as December is as wrong as possible. Pldx1 (talk) 09:57, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
