Is there a reason Holi is listed as Misc and not in Hindu festivals? gren

Tables

[edit]

Would this page be better if tables are used instead of lists?

I made a sample one:

Date Holiday Remarks
January 1 New Year's Day New Year's day in the Gregorian calendar
Janurary 14 - 15 Pongal Historically, a Dravidian festival, celebrated in South India. It is a thanksgiving festival, marking the harvest.
Late March / Early April Holi Know as the festival of colors, marks the beginning of spring. More widely celebrated in Northern India, than Southern India.
July - August Raksha bandhan Celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters. More widely celebrated in North India.
