Gidday, Aly! No talkers to you for 7 months? - you must have been very polite and careful. You may soon notice that I'm with you in the fr-2[+??!] brigade. Now why isn't there a French interwiki on your userpage? Oh, of course, you're busy studying and don't want to be sidetracked. Good lad! Get those exams over and the world will be your oyster. Actually it's well past my bedtime, as you can probably work out, but it's amazing how far one can ramble after promising oneself just a very quick last look at the watchlist! - Hey there! Yeah, I haven't stirred up too much controversy... I keep to myself and make silent edits. Hehe. I'm like a female Solid Snake! And actually, I just got out for summer... Nailed my exams, exempted French... It's my best class, y'know. Thanks for stopping by... oh, and I don't know how to put the interwiki on the page.. -blush.- --Thorns Among Our Leaves 01:42, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Crikey, the welcome messages get longer all the time. Anyhow, I'd just like to thank you for the best username I've seen. I know it's not the same as thanking for excellent editing, but nonetheless. -- Kizor 14:19, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Hi Thorns among our leaves. I noticed you recently voted to delete the article Religious persecution by Muslims at Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Religious persecution by Muslims. You might be interested in a similar VfD at Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Religious persecution by Jews. Jayjg (talk) 18:50, 21 July 2005 (UTC)
VfD pollution
[edit]Ril enlisted Persecution by Muslims for VfD again, just 24 hours after the article withstood the first VfD. You might be interested to watch it. [1] --Germen (Talk | Contribs ) 10:26, 30 July 2005 (UTC)

Spelling
[edit]I am always working on my spelling, but I am a bit more of a "concept" person than a stickler for details. Anyway, thank for the advice. -- Pinktulip 11:22, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
Hi
[edit]You rule insanely. I just listened to Loveless, it rules. Hüsker Dü are one of the best bands ever. What do you think of Zen Arcade? How about Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Meat Puppets, Smashing Pumpkins, The Velvet Underground?? NIRVANA2764 01:22, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- What do you think of Land Speed Record? That's one of the most brutal albums I've ever heard. Back when they were THE hardcore punk band. Minor Threat rules a ton. NIRVANA2764 14:46, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Heads-Up
[edit]A heads-up re: Talk: Issa (singer). If you disagree, let's hash out the issue, but since it's article-related, let's discuss the issue on the article's talk page, so no need to respond here or on my talk page. Obliged! — Mike 16:33, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Love-is-everything-siberry.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Love-is-everything-siberry.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:03, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hi...I'd love to talk to you - you're right, we do sound very similar (how did you come across my page?) However, I'm not on Wikipedia constantly, like I used to be...(I discovered epinions, which now has to share my love with Facebook and Wikipedia) The best way to contact me is through Facebook - I sent you a message. Fair use rationale for Image:BlindMansZoo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:BlindMansZoo.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 07:50, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Thorns2008.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Thorns2008.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 05:06, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Love-is-everything-siberry.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Love-is-everything-siberry.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones (Talk) 22:33, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Survey
[edit]Hi Aly!
I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!
It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!
Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!
Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:Thorns2007.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Personal file, no foreseeable encyclopedic use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jon Kolbert (talk) 19:21, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
