[edit]The original entry stub refered to "... a goddess of Japanese myth.
Performing a simple web search (via alltheweb.com) it was apparent that this goddess is intrisic to the Shinto religion, so it seems more respectful (both to the religion and the goddess) to refer to Her as such.
