This article lists female chess players who have received FIDE (International Chess Federation) titles or have other significant achievements in chess.

Grandmasters

There are 42 female players who have been awarded the title of Grandmaster,[1] the highest lifetime title in chess, all of whom are living as of December 2023.

International Masters

As of December 2023, FIDE lists 134 women who hold the International Master title. Seven IMs are no longer living.[2] (Deceased players noted by symbol.)
