I'm in my 40's, married, two step kids.

I first came across Wikipedia in 2003. Having an interest in world religions, I thought at first I had found an encyclopedia dealing with wiccanism. Since then I have read hundreds of articles and corrected numerous typos along the way. I finally decided to create an account and contribute a bit more here and there as I am able and inclined.

My interests include

Science- especially physics and astronomy

Sci-fi- especially the Dune universe (as evidenced by my username)

Philosophy Religion- my personal inclination is towards reformed (non-metaphysical) Buddhism

Psychology

Mythology

Cooking- striving towards gourmet status

Art- My secondary vocation as a mural painter and portrait artist

Music- My primary vocation. Have been a bluegrass musician for 28 years and play all the related instruments (guitar, banjo, upright double bass, fiddle, mandolin, and dobro) to varying levels of proficiency. Also compose/record New Age music in my home studio.

I occasionally write articles for a small-town newspaper in south Georgia dealing with science, origins of holidays or beliefs, and other things.
