Does anyone have information about the special school he started?

This junior-phobia is rather annoying. We've seen it with George W. Bush, Ronald P. Reagan, and others. I think it's because the father fears that "Junior" is a juvenile term, and that the son will be forever seen as less than adult. It's a foolish notion. Who thinks so about Martin Luther King, Jr., for example? When considering naming a son for a father, just go ahead and do it full-fledged. Why condemn the son to a tiresome lifetime of correcting others thousands of times ("no, it's NOT 'Junior' - see I've got this middle name")? LeoO3 14:13, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)

The school is for children with learning disabilities such as Downs Syndrome and Autism. The issue with the "junior" lies not with his father, but rather farther back. Winthrop Rockefeller's mother wanted to name him Winthrop Aldrich Rockefeller, (Aldrich being her maiden name). However, she was a pacifist, and did not want her son's initials to spell "WAR." She decided no middle name was better than one that somehow promoted violence. When Winthrop Paul was born, his father actually gave him a middle name.
