Hi there! First, let's explain the name. I own a farm in the Monahans sand hills of west Texas, where I grow prizewinning watermelons, cantaloupes, and honeydews, of which I am very proud. I was once a GP physician, but found the work too stressful, so I took over the family farm when my folks retired.

Since it's winter as I write this, I have plenty of time on my hands and was quite happy to discover this project. I hope to use the opportunity to indulge my passions: writing, punk music, human physiology, and (of course) melons.
